I often see individuals looking at someone else training in the gym and say “WOW! I could never do that.” While it can be a positive to look at others for motivation and inspiration, people often skip over the most important aspect of training… the process. Achieving success in the gym takes consistent hard work that translates into small progressions that add up over a long period of time. It is truly amazing what the human body is capable of at any age or ability if you execute a well thought out plan.

Let’s say you want to travel somewhere. You would create a plan and then execute it in order to get there. Maybe you fill your gas tank or get plane tickets, pack your bags, and get someone to take care of a pet. We know that through the proper process we can have a plan that takes us in that direction. That is what training is. The ultimate destination can have many obstacles, but as long as you focus on the process and can keep taking steps in the proper direction towards your goals, you will be able to do things you never thought you could.
