You are only as great as your weakest link. When it comes to all athletics, blanket statements about how you should train, whats drills you should do, what exercises you should use ect… will only get you as far as your weakest part. Great coaches and trainers are able to identify these weak links, and strengthen them in order to give you the best chance at success. If you are smart you will not limit yourself to only one tool to build a house. The same goes for your body.

Some athletes are incredibly gifted at their sport but do not have the discipline, work ethic, or strength to push them to the next level. Some athletes have the desire, giving it everything they have but simply do not have the skill and technique to advance in their sport. Athletes that become great at only one aspect of a sport quickly are forgotten, athletes that have the unique combination of skill, strength, and desire are the ones that end up on the fronts of magazines. Without doubt in order to be your best, you have to be incredibly skilled, powerful, strong, fast, and have a never say die attitude. Genetics allows us to have some of these attributes naturally, and suck at others. The ones you suck at will eventually become your downfall.

Spend time developing all of these and your weaknesses might just become your strengths, and your strengths will evolve into what makes you crush your competition. Ignore one of these, and no matter how far you get in your sport, you are still not maximizing the potential of what you could be. So no need to choose one ideal over another, if you are putting the right amount of work in, doing it effectively and efficiently, training all attributes. That’s what will make you great.

If you are reading this and are feeling all tingly inside at the thought of being great at what you do listen up: There is no such thing as being too strong, and there is no such thing as being too good at your sport. 99% of you out there does not know what being truly strong, or truly great at your sport means. Find a coach or trainer that can show you the light, show you how to use every tool in the toolbox to be the best you can be. There is no reason to limit yourself to just one training concept, learn this and the sky is the limit for you.

Anthony helped me realize that I would be prone to more injuries if I didn't concentrate on strengthening my core. Thus after Therapy I joined The Campo Team.

My initial goal was to lose weight and gain strength, 5 months..."
