With today’s technology, orthopedic surgery is becoming an increasingly more popular choice for individuals looking to address pain and dysfunction. Surgeons have become so proficient at many joint replacement surgeries that some doctors are able to perform upwards of 8 procedures a day, or even more. Though many individuals could benefit from a joint replacement, the problem with them being handed out like hotcakes is that many people are now looking to surgery as a first resort, and not putting in the necessary work to fix weakness and imbalances before surgery is chosen. In cases where surgery is necessary, training to correct and improve muscle imbalances and overall strengthening is a pivotal component in determining whether or not the surgeries outcome will end up a success.
